Dedication ceremony scheduled Dec. 7 for new Cape Coral VA clinic. VA Clinic opens December 17, 2012

The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System will hold a dedication ceremony for the new VA clinic in Cape Coral on Friday, Dec. 7 at the facility, 2489 Diplomat Parkway E.

Speakers will include Robert Jesse, principal deputy under secretary for health for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; Suzanne M. Klinker, director of the Bay Pines Healthcare System; Cape Coral Mayor John Sullivan; and Bob Koenig, president of Manhattan Construction.

The ceremony begins at 10 a.m.
The new 220,000-square-foot outpatient health center will open for medical care on Dec. 17. It replaces a smaller VA clinic on Winkler Extension in Fort Myers.
